Italio River Adventures is located within the Tongass National Forest. The camp is a “fly out” camp that can only be accessed by small bush plane from Yakutat, Alaska. We are located approximately 30 air miles (via small bush plane) South of the small, commercial fishing town of Yakutat, Alaska. The main camp and guest accomidations are situated in a pristine setting between the glacier-covered peaks of the St.Elias mountain range, the Fairweather mountain range and the Pacific Ocean. With majestic mountains on one side, river drainage in the middle, and the ocean on the other side of the main camp, this is a true Alaskan wilderness fishing location. Our fishing camp was built with consideration of the serious angler in mind, as well as those who like to beach comb, enjoy the ocean and the beautiful outdoors of Alaska. The camp consists of two separate guest structures and a main structure for eating, relaxing after fishing and enjoying the company of those in your group.We also have a full washer and dryer, shower and bathroom to make your stay out in the middle of nowhere comfortable . We want your experience with us to be comfortable, relaxing and fun for all of those involved. Camp is located within walking distance of the Italio River and about a quarter of a mile from the ocean and we are perfectly situated for you to be able to fish as long as you would like… from sun up to sun down. With Alaska’s long summer and fall days there is a lot of great fishing time!
